The Lilly grant includes a pool of funds to help Grinnellians pursuing advanced studies toward religious leadership to defray some of the costs of this training. These fellowships are for one year, renewable for one additional year. The study should be directed toward ministry or similar forms of religious leadership (the fellowship is not intended for those who are entering a Ph.D. program in order to become professors of religion or theology, for example). The fellowships are awarded following an application process, contingent upon acceptance in a suitable graduate program.

Seniors and alumni who have graduated within the last 5 years are eligible for these fellowships. Those interested in applying for this Postgraduate Fellowship should consult the Chaplain. To obtain an application, contact Doug Cutchins at the Office of Social Commitment.
