Rabbi Herzfeld most recently served for six years as the Rabbi at Progressive Temple Beth Ahavath Sholom, in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to his tenure in Brooklyn he served as Rabbi at several Temples in the northeast and in Canada. In academe, he has served as Interim Jewish Chaplain and Lecturer at Colgate Univerisy, Hillel Director at the University of South Florida and Campus Rabbi at Hobart and William Smith Colleges (his alma mater).
