New Online Employment Process
In the coming weeks, the Office of Human Resources will implement a new online job application and tracking system. The new system will replace the former paper application process for all open faculty and staff positions on campus. Director of Human Resources Kristin Lovig said that the College moved to the online system to alleviate the time-consuming paper process and to make the application process more efficient for both applicants and those involved in hiring. The system is called PeopleAdmin and is widely used by many other colleges and universities. The new system allows applicants to check the status of their application at anytime and allows hiring managers to review all applications online without the hassle of mounds of paper.
The current approval process for new positions will remain in place, aided by the new web-enabled system, and hiring managers will be trained and receive assistance from the Office of Human Resources when an opening occurs in their area.
Once available, the new system and instructions for using it will be available on the "Jobs" website. First-time users will need to establish a username and password that can be used with each return visit to the site. Instructions and Q&A will be available from the site to lead users through the simple application process.
Those without home or work computer access may apply online by using a public library workstation or a dedicated workstation in the Office of Human Resources (by appointment; call ext. 4818 or 641-269-4818 from off campus).
Additional information about the new PeopleAdmin system will be available from the Laurel Leaf, Pioneer Web, via email, and on the "Jobs" site.
