College Bookstore 20% Off Sale
The end of semester sale ends on Friday, December 14. Hurry in to take advantage of 20% savings on apparel, books and gifty items. We still have $6.00 T-shirts left. Tervis Tumblers keep cold drinks cold for amazing lengths of time. Give a passport to Nirvana. We have Lonely Planet travel books to destinations you can dream about or plan for. We have warm, wool hats and mittens made in Nepal and luxurious cashmere scarves in many colors and patterns. Take one of our signature basketballs to the game and see how many team player's signatures you can get. Pioneer Bookshop Extends Hours for Holiday Shopping
Starting on Sunday the Pioneer Bookshop will be open Sundays, 12 noon – 4pm and evenings until 8 pm. Have one of our knowledgeable staff help you select books for people on your list. Books make excellent gifts and the staff will gift wrap them for free! Our hand-picked children's books are easy to choose for the little ones. The staff can help you match a finger puppet with the story. We have well known developmental toy brands like Brio and Ambi to mix play with learning. Check out the wooden toys that are made in Vermont too.

Updates from the Staff Council:
* Thank you to everyone who attended the open forum for staff regarding enrollment management with Joe Bagnoli. It was a great turnout, and there were lots of interesting questions. The council would like to thank Joe for his time and presentation, and catering for providing beverages and snacks!
The next step in the process is for the Council to formulate a position statement that reflects as much of the spirit of the discussions and support of opportunity to participate in them as we can. Look for that statement soon!
* Thank you to all of those that answered our "let's communicate" survey posted in the last Laurel Leaf. As the Council continues to look for ways to encourage and support opening lines of communication across campus, your thoughts and suggestions are vital. The results of the survey show that you prefer a weekly email newsletter, which garnered nearly 80% of the vote. In addition to choosing a preferred method of communication, several people sent along comments, which were overwhelming positive regarding our continuing efforts, and greatly appreciated by the Council and Communication!
