Author to Visit the Pioneer Bookshop
Author Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg will sign copies of her book The Sky Begins at Your Feet at the Pioneer Bookshop on Thursday, November 5, 2009, between Noon and 2:00p.m. The Sky Begins at Your Feet is the story of an emotional journey through cancer discovery, treatment and recovery. Caryn fluently details her denial of the diagnosis, eventual acceptance of and finally connection with the illness. Caryn shares the full spectrum of her experience with breast cancer.
An excerpt: "I was okay, but I also realized I had gained this new peripheral vision. Everything was lit from within in its unpredictability, in its magic too. Tears of pain and fear, and tears of joy and freedom - no difference between them at times."
-from The Sky Begins at Your Feet by Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg
