Staff Council Annual Election

HEY! Would you like to be a part of the growing, dynamic, and wide ranging discussions of campus issues and directions? You can – by running for an open Staff Council position! Nominate yourself or any number of your friends, the more, the merrier! Here is the information you need to get started:

Re: Staff Council Annual Election

Beginning Monday, February 4, the Staff Council will begin taking nominations for three open positions from staff members who are interested in serving on the Council. Nominations will be accepted until Friday, February 15.

Terms for the three openings are as follows:

  • 3 year term for non-exempt staff (2 positions)
  • 3 year term for exempt staff (1 position)

President Kington formed Staff Council as a governing body whose primary purpose is to advocate for staff on issues of campus climate. This is an exciting opportunity to interact with the President to help make a difference for Grinnell College staff. If you are interested in running for Staff Council, please go to: https://survey.grinnell.edu/se.ashx?s=2511374534767FB3 to complete the nomination form.

Elections will take place electronically (with paper ballots being provided to Dining Services staff) from February 22-March 1, 2013. The Staff Council will be responsible for the election process, including tabulating results. An announcement regarding the election results will be made Wednesday, March 13.
