On Thursday, July 12, 2012, ITS telecommunications staff will be working with technicians from Windstream Baker Communications to perform necessary maintenance on the college’s telephone system. The work will begin at 5:30 PM that day. I expect all campus telephones to be out of service for about 30 minutes beginning at 5:30 PM that day.
The outage will affect all campus telephones with 269 prefixes. 911 service will not be available during the outage. This outage will not affect cell phone service or telephones provided by Windstream Iowa Communications.
Please feel free to contact Mark Miller if you have questions about the telephone service outage.
