Injury Prevention Lunch and Learn

Tuesday, November 13th
12:00-1:00pm
JRC 209

Do you enjoy to working out but get hindered by aches and pains? Are you a weekend warrior who wants to prevent injury? Jason Kofoot, Grinnell College's Assistant Athletic Trainer, will share some tips and answer your questions on how to stay healthy and prevent common sports injuries. Lunch will also be served. This program is open to faculty, staff, and students who are NOT varsity athletes (since varsity athletes already have athletic trainer access). Space is limited. E-mail jacobsen@grinnell.edu to reserve your spot and share any dietary restrictions.

Wellness Reimbursement Information

Wellness reimbursement requests should now be sent to Jen Jacobsen in the Bear.

Requests will be processed quarterly.

Reimbursement will come as part of regular paycheck, not a separate deposit.

At this time, the items eligible for reimbursement are as follows: Memberships, race entry fees, athletic shoes, bicycles and helmets, and CSA shares.

Please print the reimbursement form, fill it out, attach receipt, and send through campus mail.

Reimbursements are 50% of what you spend, up to a total of $300 in spending/$150 in reimbursements.

Reimbursements are allocated by the fiscal year.

Always interested in Zumba but afraid to try?

Zumba classes, with our fantastic new instructor Arianna Benitez, will continue over fall break. Because of the timing, there will be a handful of faculty/staff/partners there and few students—an even more welcoming environment for checking things out. No registration needed, just show up at the Multipurpose/Dance room of the Bear (you can ask for directions at the Welcome Desk) on Monday and/or Wednesday 5:30-6:15pm. Wear any comfortable clothes. No experience necessary—just a willingness to have fun.
