Intro to Windows 7
Faculty/Staff
Tuesday, 9/25/2012
2 pm to 3 pm
Instructor: Linda Ludwig
With any new system or software it can be frustrating figuring out how to do all your old favorites before the upgrade. In this workshop we will show you how to perform some of those old favorite activities while also introducing you to some of the new features.
Some of the topics we will cover include: how to map a drive, set up views/preferences, how set up a printer, how to set up short cuts/start menu/task bar/pinning and how to use the search function.
All the above training sessions are scheduled in the Forum Training Room.
If you would like to sign up for any of them go to:

If you have any questions, contact Linda Ludwig, x4975 or [ludwigl]
Think Before You Click - How to avoid being the victim of Phishing
What is phishing?
Phishing is an attempt to gain usernames and passwords by masquerading as a trustworthy source through an electronic communication [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phishing].
This summer campus was hit extremely hard with faculty, staff and students falling for a variety of Phishing emails. When cybercriminals get even one of us to fall for their phishing attempt it creates problems for all of us.
For more on this topic please read Think Before You Click.
