Welcome all first-year and transfer students! The Campus Mail Services operation has permanently relocated to the new Joe Rosenfield '25 Center for the Fall 2006 semester. Mail Services is located on the first floor of the new facility. This memo addresses the following topics: how to determine your mailbox number, how to access your mailbox combination code, and what mailing address to share with others while you are a student at Grinnell College.

MAILBOX NUMBERS
Grinnell College enrolled students are each assigned a mailbox in the campus mailroom. The mailbox holds incoming mail and inter-campus communications. Letters, magazines and small packages will be placed in your mailbox and available to you at your convenience. Large parcels will be stored in the mailroom and available at the service window during regular business hours. The lobby of the new mailroom was designed so that you could access your campus mailbox at your convenience throughout the day and evening, seven days a week.

The mailbox number assigned to you is available on the Online Campus Directory located at: http://db.grinnell.edu/campusdir/. The Online Campus Directory displays campus contact information for all students, faculty and staff at Grinnell College and is updated regularly.

MAILBOX COMBINATIONS
Student mailboxes are accessed via combination codes. You can now access your mailbox combination code by logging into PioneerWeb from any networked computer on campus or from an off-campus computer with Internet access. PioneerWeb is the campus intranet and course management system and requires a log in username and password. By storing this information in PioneerWeb, your code is secure and available to you at any time of the day or night. Of course, mailroom staff are available to assist you with locating or opening your campus mailbox when you arrive later this month. PioneerWeb is located at: http://pioneerweb.grinnell.edu.

NEW CAMPUS MAILING ADDRESS
The new campus address for Mail Services is: 1115 8th Ave., Grinnell, Iowa 50112. Once you have obtained your four-digit mailbox number from the Online Campus Directory, you should include that number when specifying a ship to or return address. A sample label is shown below. Please share this information with family members and friends, catalog vendors, publishing companies and others who will send mailings to you.
