Welcome to the Grinnell College Dining Services NACUFS Review website!
Dining professionals, and fellow members of the National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS) organization, visited Grinnell College the week of November 17, 2002 for a collaborative and collegial review of our campus dining services.
During their visit, team members toured the dining facilities, met with students, dining staff and other campus administrators and enjoyed meals in the dining halls, the Forum Grill and Grinnell House. Greg Hopkins, Team Leader, shared this statement about his experience at Grinnell, "I have never been at an institution in which the staff and students were so friendly to visitors. When walking down the sidewalk, it was common for students to make eye contact and greet me before I had the chance to say hello to them. Unfortunately, that willing and welcoming of an acknowledgement does not happen at many other colleges/universities."
A comprehensive, written report comparing Grinnell College dining and catering services, products and practices with specific guidelines as set by the NACUFS organization was prepared for the dining management and staff.
Thank you students, staff and faculty for your participation and interest in this peer review!
