The Pioneer One-Card, or P-Card, is the college campus ID system. Your P-Card is a photo identification card that will allow you to access many services at Grinnell College. Use your card in the Dining Halls, the College Book Store, The Spencer Grill, vending machines, the Libraries, Mail Services, copy machines, laundry facilities, and other locations on campus.
For students, the Pioneer One-Card is a combined photo ID and proximity card. The proximity feature allows students to use the card to gain access to their residence halls. For staff and faculty, employee family members and campus visitors the Pioneer One-Card is a photo ID which provides the convenience of a Campus Cash account.
Where can I use it?
Students, staff and faculty can use the Pioneer One-Card all over campus. The P-Card has a declining balance (Campus Cash) account. Once you deposit money into your account, use the P-Card in place of cash.
The P-Card enables you to check out books from the College Libraries, photocopy using campus copiers and purchase items at:
- the College Bookstore
- The Spencer Grill
- the Campus Dining Halls
- Vending machines
and access services from:
- the College mailroom
- Campus laundry facilities
- Walk-up photocopiers
- the Grinnell College Libraries
- Box Office (tickets required for select events)
- Bear Recreation and Athletic Center (gain entry)
Where do I get it?
Obtain your P-Card from the Pioneer One-Card Office on the second floor of the Joe Rosenfield '25 Center. Please bring your old ID, if you have one, or a driver's license or passport. You will get your picture taken so please do not wear objects that may obscure your face.
The Pioneer Guest Card may be purchased for a minimal fee of $1.00 at one of the cash value centers located in the mailroom lobby (first floor of the Joe Rosenfield '25 Center).
How do I add Campus Cash?
You can add Campus Cash at the Cashier's Office located in the John Chrystal Center or at the cash value center located in the lobby of the mailroom (Joe Rosenfield '25 Center). You may also download a brochure (above), complete the included deposit form and mail the form in with your payment to the Cashier's Office, John Chrystal Center, Grinnell, Iowa 50112.
Use of the Pioneer One-Card is subject to the terms of the card member agreement.
