Campus Pioneer One-Card Policy Regarding Sale of Alcohol and Tobacco Products

The Pioneer One-Card is under no circumstances to be used to purchase alcohol or tobacco products. This policy applies to all transactions involving the Pioneer One-Card.
The ultimate responsibility for enforcing this policy is with the party accepting payment via the Pioneer One-Card (Pioneer One-Card Merchant). This policy applies to any Pioneer One-Card Merchant that accepts the Pioneer One-card for payment, either on the Grinnell College campus or off campus.
Failure to enforce this policy will result in the following:
1. The Pioneer One-Card Merchant accepting the Pioneer One-Card will loose privileges to accept the Pioneer One-Card for a period of no less than one year.
2. After one year, the Pioneer One-Card Merchant will have to assure the Pioneer One-Card office that reasonable safeguards are in place to prevent such sales in the future.
3. There will be no fund transfer from the College to the Pioneer One-Card Merchant for the sale of tobacco or alcohol.
