The South Lounge and the Chapel:
Forty Years of the Forum

by James Kissane '52, Professor Emeritus of English

It's been a bit more than 40 years since the Forum assumed its role as the "campus living room." Jim Kissane has written a thoughtful assessment of the Forum's importance to the life of the College, and we've gathered lots of stories from Grinnellians about this campus landmark.

You can also learn how Grinnell helped one young teacher through her first year in the classroom, and how a student accustomed to life in the metropolis of Houston found downtown Grinnell — small as it is — still had something good to offer.
