No new writing or design, may include swapping in newer photography. Example: Update an annual invitation. (Approximately 3-5 working days prior to being sent to a print vendor)
New issue in existing series — New newsletter, letter, or effort of an existing periodical or campaign—new content, same design. In-house direction, contracted writing, editing, photography, and production. Example: Produce a new issue of Ins & Outs or Exit 182. (Approximately 3-4 weeks prior to being sent to a print vendor)
Rework — Minor to moderate in-house rewriting, restructuring, and redesigning of an existing piece, retaining its basic purpose, audience, voice, and look. Example: Rework Admission Travel Brochure using existing design. (Approximately 3-4 weeks prior to being sent to a print vendor)
Redesign — Major rewriting, editing, restructuring, and redesign to a piece that retains its basic audience and purpose, but which may look and feel substantially different than its predecessor. Example: Redesign Admission Travel Brochure. (Approximately 2-3 months prior to being sent to a print vendor)
Media change — Such as moving a project from print to email or web distribution, or vice versa) Example: Move g-mail from print to e-mail format. (Approximately 2-3 months prior to being sent to a print vendor)
New Project — Needing extensive conceptualizing, writing, editing, design, photography and/or media production; may be produced in house, contracted, or a combination thereof. Example: Produce new development campaign or new admission viewbook. (Approximately 3-9 months prior to being sent to a print vendor)
