My whole life, I have been interested in comparing the seemingly incomparable and organizing the seemingly chaotic. In the computer field, my main interests lie in the automation of large data streams. I have been involved in all stages of analysis, design, development, and implementation of numerous projects in Russia, Australia, Germany, and the U.S.

In 2005, with a group of colleagues, we started KwaKwe, a joint project with Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. The projects include developing and implementing new algorithms for the data analysis of gene expression profiles obtained in microarray experiments and modeling and simulation study of the dynamics of the immune system response.

Since 2001, with I also have been leading a group of students in a number of projects, such as research on West African pidgin language.
