Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry whose goal is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Students who participate in Habitat on campus have the opportunity to help build houses in partnership with families in need.

Grinnell College formed a Habitat For Humanity Campus Chapter in the spring of 1998. Since then, HFH at Grinnell has become an active organization, sending people to work sites in Des Moines and Knoxville, IA two or three times a month and facilitating hunger and homelessness awareness on campus.
