Throughout the school year, the Grinnell Middle School and Grinnell College students work together on a buddy program. College students serve as mentors to 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade Middle school students. Mentors usually spend some time as tutors and a lot of time hanging out with their mentees socializing. Mentors are encouraged to spend between 5-6 hours a week with their mentees.
