Poverty Action Now (PAN) is a group dedicated to direct action, specifically regarding issues of hunger and homelessness. We spread awareness of domestic and international poverty issues to the campus and are involved in the fight for justice through various campaigns and actions. We are concerned with giving Grinnell College students the chance to help those in need.

We travel to Des Moines most Saturdays to volunteer at the Catholic Worker, a hospitality home. This gives us the opportunity and resources we need to directly help the impoverished. Also, we want to educate the campus about specific problems behind poverty in order to give them an outlet to fight this injustice.
