CARING ADULT DAY CARE
1331 Hobart

Mission: Open Monday through Friday, from 10 until 3, Caring Adult Day Care Center offers services to those who are physically impaired, socially impaired or isolated, in need of assistance with personal care, are mentally confused or limited in a major way in their ability to function independently but do not require 24-hour inpatient care. The Center is a place for these people to spend time, to share a meal and to participate in various art and educational programs.

Volunteers are needed to help with activities, especially with painting projects and to work one- on-one with people.

FRIENDSHIP MANOR
79 Sixth Avenue

Mission: Friendship Manor Care Center, a more traditional nursing facility, provides a broad continuance of care for their residents including traditional long-term care, hospice care, short-term stays and rehabilitation programs. They have activity programs and a fine dining program.

Volunteers are needed to deliver mail to residents, visit one-on-one, read to residents, share musical talents by playing the piano or another instrument, or help with weekly activities like Bingo.

MAYFLOWER HOMES

Mission: Mayflower Homes is a retirement community that offers multiple levels of care, from apartments to assisted living facilities to more complete nursing and health care. As a ministry of the Iowa Conference of the United Church of Christ, the Mayflower's mission is to provide a retirement community that affirms the dignity and worth of each individual, responds to ongoing and emerging resident needs and expectations, and seeks to balance ministry and financial integrity.

Volunteers are needed in the Health Care Center to visit one-on-one with residents, read to them and to help with letter writing.

ST. FRANCIS MANOR

Mission: St. Francis is a retirement community offering multiple levels of care.

Volunteers are needed to visit one-on-one with residents, assist with daily activities, contribute to morning and afternoon programs and share their musical talents.
