ISC will discuss course material distribution at the May 2 meeting. Christopher will distribute a
draft of the Library Reserve Policy to be discussed in division meetings before May 2.
It was suggested that ISC draft a statement on student information literacy. This year's
committee does not have time to commit to this discussion. This topic will be suggested as a
charge to next year's committee.
Discussion of curricular development funding and guidelines is scheduled for May 16 meeting.
Discussion of curricular development proposals:
Seven proposals were approved. Five proposals were tabled pending further information,
including.
- What are the long-lasting effects of the tutorial?
- How will "curricular development" be used?
- How often will this course be offered?
Other considerations:
- Should we fund irregularly-taught courses? What about Tutorials? Tutorials may be funded if
- the course leads into a regularly-offered course.
- ISC does not fund materials or books.
- Regarding course revisions: How much is above and beyond the normal expectation for a
- course?
Agenda for next meeting (May 2):
- Finish curricular development proposals
- Library Reserve Policy
Respectfully submitted,
Terri Phipps
