Curricular Development applications:
BIO: awarded $500 from Prairie Studies and $500 from Technology Studies (ISC budget)
GRM: Decision tabled pending further information: Nature of interaction Design of program How adaptable is the program for future use within the same language? How easily can it be adapted to another language? How likely is it that the next professor teaching this course will use the program? What will students do differently online than they would do in class?
JPN: awarded $500 from Freeman Grant
FRN: awarded $500 from ISC
POL: awarded $500 from ISC. Funding for speakers should be requested through the speakers' fund or the Center for Humanities.
THE: awarded $1000 from CIS
ISC recognized that the committee needs to exercise far more critical judgment due to less available funding-not a decreased budget, but taking responsibility for projects previously funded by the Mellon Foundation.
