Minutes of 11 February were approved with minor revision.

Music CSFS proposal, directed to ISC.

CSFS perceived this proposal as heavily tied to teaching and have agreed to support one-half of the cost. Faculty member will study conducting which relates to teaching, but will also relate to professional development. CSFS requests that ISC support the remainder.

ISC likes the proposal and agrees to support half its total, pending submission of a statement detailing how this proposal will enhance teaching.

ISC also decided to recommend that CSFS route future proposals through the proposal's author so that teaching can be addressed. Vince will contact CSFS about funding and to let them know to send future proposals through the author.

THE 495 field trip proposal, originally submitted to the Dean and the President.

ISC wants to support the proposal but will request details about the trip's curricular role, in accordance with web-published field-trip guidelines. Vince will contact the Dean and President so that future proposals will be routed to ISC through the faculty author.

ACUP draft.
Bill has not received many comments so far. A forum will be held later this week. Notices will also be placed in relevant print venues as well.

Classroom-assignment discussion.
Classrooms are currently assigned according to faculty preference whenever possible, though AV needs take precedence over preference. The Registrar should contact faculty when there is a conflict over a room request. Some conflicts have been alleviated by incorporating technology into more classrooms. ISC would like to see a draft of the classroom-preference document from the Registrar.

Discussion of Curricular Development funding

Vince drafted and distributed notes on alternative models of providing internal support for curricular and pedagogical development. This issue will be discussed at the next meeting.

Terri will send a reminder about summer curricular development and workshop proposals, due March 31.
