The Evolution of Technology Studies
The Technology Studies Concentration is one of the older concentrations at Grinnell, but also one of the smaller concentrations. As technology plays increasingly large roles in society, it is important that Grinnell have mechanisms for students (and faculty) to consider the roles technology plays. Recent years have seen significant revisions in the concentration in terms of the faculty who participate (and teach the introductory course) and in the elective courses in the concentration. In this lunch meeting, we will reflect on the current and potential roles of the concentration in the Grinnell Curriculum and begin to plan a Technology Studies Concentration for the future.
