Expanding the Curriculum on the Middle East: Update and Prospects
This lunch provides an opportunity for faculty interested in expanding the current offerings on the Middle East to learn about current efforts to increase current offerings. This spring break a group of faculty went to Cairo to explore possibilities for: 1) off-campus study at American University Cairo (AUC), 2) increased recruiting of Middle Eastern students, and 3) possible faculty development opportunities at AUC. The group will provide a report on the trip. In addition, faculty will be asked to brainstorm about other possibilities, including faculty positions and a core introductory course.
