Wellness

Wellness is everyone's concern. Today most people are aware of the importance of maintaining health and the costs of being unhealthy. Yet establishing and maintaining wellness can be a challenge. The issue of wellness can also reflect the concern we have for a loved one or for the ultimate emotional and financial cost of poor health in our communities and in this country. Employee wellness is a major concern of most organizations, large and small. What might the responsibility be of an educational institution to prepare future employees to be healthy and productive members of the working community? How might we at Grinnell College optimize our many and diverse resources in the area of wellness to provide the best academic offerings with such a goal in mind?
