African Studies at Grinnell

Second Meeting
At the October 10 lunch we identified three goals for coordinating our efforts in both curricular and extra-curricular capacities:

  1. signaling to prospective students how they can engage in African Studies at Grinnell;
  2. helping current students connect their course planning to African Studies;
  3. giving faculty opportunities for dialogue and collaboration. Toward those ends, we discussed the merits of building an interdisciplinary "cluster" around this theme. This next lunch will serve as a follow-up to the first discussion and provide an opportunity to identify other common goals and strategies for implementing them
