Environmental challenges and Responses: Where do we go from here?
Environmental Challenges and Responses is the only concrete curriculum offering stemming from the many EKI lunches held in 2008-2009. It is an experiment in cross-disciplinary team teaching, designed to engage students in a structured dialog about environmental issues and to facilitate faculty-faculty interaction. With the first term under our collective belts and the second underway, it is time to decide the future of this course.
The purpose of the lunch is to:
- discuss successes and problems
- consider options for how the course should function (particularly student/teacher ratio; cross-disciplinary faculty presence)
- decide if the course should continue
- establish a roster of those committed to being instructors should the course be offered in 2009-2010
