How should we recognize new or existing courses that share an international focus or theme not encompassed by our existing concentrations? Do you teach courses with significant international content that you would like to link to other courses, without necessarily establishing a separate concentration or major? Come discuss a proposal for a flexible-content "International Studies" concentration that would allow faculty to bring together courses under different analytical rubrics, such as "diaspora/migration studies" or "peace and conflict studies."
This lunch also serves as a follow-up to an earlier discussion with leaders of various interdisciplinary concentrations (LAS, GDS, East Asian Studies, Environmental Studies, Russian & Eastern European studies).
