Solutions to Obstacles to Junior Faculty Invovlvement in EKI

During this meeting we will brainstorm possible solutions to the obstacles discussed last meeting that prevent junior faculty from being as involved as they could be in the EKI.

Untenured faculty are an important resource for our campus in terms of the latest in teaching and research - particularly in terms of new areas which cross, transcend, or intersect disciplinary boundaries. However, the very nature of being untenured (including both term and tenure-track positions) may involve particular barriers from being as involved in our campus' Expanding Knowledge Initiative as one might like. The EKI Advisory Board is interested in hearing your suggestions for how our campus might better enable untenured faculty to do interdisciplinary and / or collaborative teaching and research at Grinnell College.
