We are very pleased to announce that the following individuals have been appointed as the first Grinnell Interdisciplinary Fellows. Each submitted a very strong application and was recommended by the Interim Advisory Board and the Executive Council.

Reviewing the EKI goals for the Interdisciplinary Fellows:

• Teach or team teach two interdisciplinary courses each year
  (the remaining courses will support the departmental curriculum);
• Help to identify speakers on the topic of interdisciplinary
  scholarship and the liberal arts;
• Help identify themes and speakers for the [biennial] interdisciplinary symposia;
• Help design (and perhaps teach) shared-theme Tutorials;
• Help design and participate in the Second Year Retreats
