LEADERSHIP
Grinnell students sometimes confuse leadership with authority or hierarchy. Can we develop a course that would examine the idea of leadership from a variety of perspectives, both humanistic and social scientific? What works of literature and history probe the burdens, dangers, rewards, and joys of leadership in a way that would inform our students? What works of social science most cogently examine the strategies of leaders and the choices they make?
