Team Teaching Across the Disciplines: Freedom and Authority
This session will cover the various options for team teaching. We will focus on a case study: Freedom and Authority. Instructors of the Freedom and Authority course, "Control of Reproduction" will talk about creating and teaching the course, its structure, lessons learned, how they will revise it, etc.
In the ensuing discussion, presenters and participants will explore such questions as: What makes an effective team taught course? Are the Freedom and Authority courses a viable model for future EKI courses? What are our priorities in offering more team taught courses? Is it reaching across the disciplines? Is it producing a range of collaborative models? What are we offering our students? What support or framing structure needs to be in place?
