PEACE, SUSTAINABILITY AND SOCIAL JUSTICE

Putting this trio of terms together acknowledges linkages - linkages that are too seldom explored - between

  • peace and conflict, from personal to international scales
  • the sustainability of social, political, environmental, and economic systems, from local to global scales
  • the service of human rights

We are not necessarily envisioning a new concentration, major, program, or center in Peace, Sustainability, and Social Justice. Rather we are imagining a conversation that brings diverse interests and expertise to the service of our students' liberal education and our institution's vitality and service to the broader world.
