ART IN SCIENCE/ART IN PRACTICE

Explore ways that studio practice might inform disciplines in the humanities, sciences, and social sciences. These might include art and social movements (art and protest, propaganda, political art), religion and the book (bookmaking and the role of art in The Book), art and the environment (earth art, public works, art created using materials from the prairie), the decorative (history, theory, and production of the decorative), non-western art (studio and traditional craft practices from non-western cultures), art and science (art conservation, the chemistry of artistic media, medical/botanical illustration), and other topics that participants bring to the table.
