The Pittsburgh Undergraduate Review accepts original scholarship in all disciplines from
undergraduates around the country. "At least two referees with expertise in fields related
to the topic of each prospective article are chosen from a pool of faculty members at the
University of Pittsburgh and surrounding institutions. These referees evaluate the paper
with regard to originality and clarity, as well as quality of reasoning and research."

Foundations is an international undergraduate academic history journal published biannually
online and in print at Johns Hopkins University.

This is an undergraduate interdisciplinary journal of history at Texas A&M. It is student authored
reviewed, edited, and published twice a year.

The Oswald Review is a refereed journal of undergraduate criticism and research in the
discipline of English. Published annually, the journal accepts submissions in
conformance with the guidelines published on its web site. Deadline: February 5 (or
nearest business day) for submissions; March 31 for notification of decision by editorial
board.

as the Journal of Young Investigators, Caltech Undergraduate Research Journal
(which publishes work of students everywhere), and the Journal of Undergraduate
Study and Independent Research; and national journals such as the Crux
Mathematicorum, Journal of Undergraduate Science, McGill Journal of Medicine,
National Undergraduate Research Clearinghouse, Furman University Electronic
Journal of Undergraduate Mathematics (not a reviewed journal, but submissions must
have a faculty sponsor), Journal of Psychological Inquiry, and the Journal of
Psychology and the Behavioral Sciences. This site also provides links to directories
of undergraduate research journals.

PLoS ONE features reports of original research from all disciplines within science and medicine.
By not excluding papers on the basis of subject area, PLoS ONE facilitates the discovery of
the connections between papers whether within or between disciplines.

The Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine is a quarterly journal reviewed and edited by Yale
biomedical faculty and students. The journal aims to showcase outstanding research articles from
all areas of biology and medicine, to publish significant case reviews, and to provide both perspectives
on personal experiences in medicine and reviews of the current state of biology and medicine.

The purpose of this competition is to "encourage undergraduates to explore the social sciences by means
of critical analysis of a topic supported by quantitative analysis of a dataset(s) held within the ICPSR
archive and presented in written form."

The Kansas Association of Historians
