The grant will provide modest funds to foster intellectual cross-fertilization among faculty 
members at the participating institutions and, in certain cases, among them and other institutions 
(such as research universities) through on-campus visits and meetings at professional 
conferences.  Examples of funding include support for one faculty member to visit another's 
campus, for the pair to spend an additional day at a professional meeting they are already 
attending, or similar costs. Professional mentoring and career guidance will also be an important 
element of some partnerships.  Proposals should be submitted to the Associate Deans' Office.
