Britt McConnell, RD/LD, shares nutrition information with diners in the Marketplace.

Britt McConnell, RD/LD, serves as Grinnell College's consulting dietitian.

Britt's experience has been in the areas of nutrition counseling and assessment, and special medical diet implementation. She has taught nutrition classes, and has a particular interest in wellness and education.

Britt enjoys her work at Grinnell College with students and their dining program. Britt is on campus each Monday and Wednesday. You may have seen her in the Marketplace servery during the noon hour, or at the Student Wellness Fair. She also provides valuable expertise as we build our nutrition database so that we can offer nutritional information to our diners in the future.

Future areas of focus will include providing support for students on individual special medical diets, collecting student input regarding nutrition information availability, and development of a nutrition facts publication or flyer for Marketplace diners.

Because Britt is only on campus two days per week, she is not able to provide specific diet counseling, but is very willing to help you with your general dietary questions. Contact Britt by e-mail at Dietitian@grinnell.edu (she will read your e-mail when she arrives on campus) or call the Dining Services Office at 269-3661 to set up an appointment.
