Grinnell College believes that the knowledge and skills of its employees are important, and that the continuing education of its employees is essential. The Educational Assistance program is designed to assist employees financially in this endeavor.
Educational Benefits
Grinnell College is affiliated with two consortia of similar institutions, and is therefore able to offer you and your dependent children various educational benefits. Educational benefits are provided for four years of tuition assistance per dependent child for undergraduate study only. Regular full-time and part-time employees are eligible for educational benefits listed in this section after you have completed the equivalent of two full-time years of continuous employment. You are not entitled to credit for prior service if you terminate employment at the College and return at a later time. You must be employed by the College during the time your dependent children are attending college. However, if you retire, die, or become disabled after five years of service as a regular full-time or part-time employee, non-taxable educational benefits will be available to your dependent children.
