Grinnell College is currently seeking Call-In Security Guards to work in our Campus Safety and Security Department.

Work Schedule: Call-in hours for all shifts.

Responsibilities: Promote a safe and secure campus environment which includes: patrol campus areas; assess the security of grounds; provide building access; identify, prevent and report criminal activity; intervene when the safety of others is in jeopardy; enforce work and safety rules; write incident and other reports.

Qualifications: Associates degree or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience in a security-related field. Ability to exercise independent judgment and function under stressful conditions.

A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required and must live within a sixty-mile radius of the College. Selected candidates will need to successfully complete a physical assessment/exam, drug screen and background check prior to the first day of work.
