Charge for the Budget Steering Committee
- Recommend to the President funding priorities to assist in the development of the proposed annual budget for submission to the Board of Trustees;
- Evaluate and compare initiatives across the entire institution, including those related to the curriculum, the administration, facilities, and technology that are consistent with the College's mission statement and budgetary goals, to be done in consultation with the Executive Council, SGA Cabinet, and the Office of the Treasurer;
- Review the success of current programs in deciding whether to recommend that the College discontinue, maintain, or enhance specific programs or reallocate funding, to be done in consultation with the Executive Council, SGA Cabinet, and the Office of the Treasurer;
- Work with the President and the Office of the Treasurer in facilitating greater interaction/dialogue between the Board-focused budgetary process and the on-campus budgetary one;
- Work with the Executive Council, SGA Cabinet, and the Office of the Treasurer in communicating and discussing institutional and budget planning decisions/recommendations with the campus community;
- Review the mission statement, strategies, tactics, and assessment/performance measures and guidelines as necessary to assist the institutional and budget process; and
- Evaluate the functioning of the institutional and budget planning process and makes recommendations to the President on enhancing it when necessary.
