Spring semester 2009, we began planning for an outside review of our policies regarding staff hiring, performance reviews, and subsequent actions. An advisory group of staff and faculty members and administrators met this past spring semester to select outside reviewers, identify issues and advise on the organization of the review visit. The visit by outside reviewers is scheduled for October 7-9, 2009, and will entail discussions with focus groups comprised of support and professional staff, supervisors, students, faculty members and others.
