The Creative Computing Lab (CCL) in the Forum supports media-intensive computing, creative projects, data representation, and research and provides a showcase for campus projects using new media technologies. The College Help Desk and a PC/Mac equipped 15-station training lab are located adjacent to the Creative Computing Lab.
A portion of the CCL is devoted to comfortable, informal seating including a "data bar" with wireless Internet access and self-serve, coffee/tea/cocoa vending service - a media-oriented "living room" for the campus. The wooden booths and white wire chairs were retained from the Forum Grill operation; booths have received a modest update in the form of laptop plug-ins.
We hope the Creative Computing Lab draws people in, promotes a collaborative atmosphere, and enhances awareness of the facility and media-based projects.
