POLAND: Central European Studies, Warsaw


  • The CIEE Central European Studies program in Warsaw is located at the Warsaw School of Economics, the oldest and largest economics university in Poland.
  • The program offers a broad array of courses in Central European politics, literature, history, Polish language, and economics.  In addition, students may opt to enroll in elective courses at the Warsaw School of Economics.  All courses are taught by Polish faculty in English.  Field trips include visits to various sites within Warsaw, a study tour to Gdansk, and a 4-day excursion to Krakow and surrounding areas, including a visit to Auschwitz.
  • Students are housed in a dormitory on campus at the Warsaw School of Economics. 
  • Eligibility: RCEES concentration coursework recommended, especially RES 291, Perspectives in Modern Central and Eastern European Literature.
