A dual-career job search can be complex, and the College wants to help. For this reason, we have a long-standing partnership with the University of Iowa’s Dual Career Network to make its employment services available to Grinnell College employees as well. This University of Iowa program offers consultation, employment support, and job leads to spouses and partners of job applicants within its extensive network of business and nonprofit relationships in eastern Iowa.
The College is currently exploring establishing an alliance with the Greater Des Moines Partnership so that we can extend the same kind of services for opportunities and networking in central Iowa.
The College also is exploring additional support mechanisms for helping those who wish to seek training, to start a new business, or to take other nontraditional approaches to establishing themselves professionally in the area.
