SUBJECT: Presidential Search Update
On September 24, 2009, the Grinnell College Presidential Search Committee launched the official search website (http://www.grinnell.edu/offices/president/search/). The website includes the Grinnell Perspectives document, as well as additional background material about the College. As noted in the last update, the website is designed to inform potential candidates as they consider the opportunity to serve as President of Grinnell, as well as to provide information about the search to the Grinnell community.
Also on September 24th, the Presidential Search Committee met for the third time. The search process is on schedule: the Committee expects to continue identifying candidates until late fall, evaluate candidates near the end of the year and into 2010, and make a recommendation to the Board of Trustees in early spring.
The Committee is grateful for the many recommendations, comments, suggestions and nominations submitted by members of the Grinnell community. These contributions both informed the development of the Grinnell Perspectives document and enhanced the pool of candidates.
