Nord Brue is chair of Franklin Foods (dairy manufacturing) and PKC Corporation (medical diagnostic and case management software), vice-chair of Green Mountain Power (integrated electric utility), and a board member of Northern New England Energy Corporation (holding company for gas and electric utilities) and New World Angels, a Florida based Angel Investment Group. During his varied legal career, he has been a private practitioner, judge advocate, house counsel, entrepreneur, inventor, real estate developer, educator, author, and director and advisor to business and nonprofit entities. He holds a patent for Yogurt Cream Cheese. In 1983, he founded Bruegger’s Bagels, which he grew to a chain of 300 bagel-themed, fast-casual restaurants.
His civic involvement includes serving as Chair of Vermont Public Radio, Vermont Governor’s Councils of Economic Advisors and of Environmental Advisors and chairing the Board of Trustees at Grinnell College and service as a member of the National Council of Washington University School of Law. He received his B.A. from Grinnell in 1967 and his J.D. from Washington University in 1970. Mr. Brue lives in Delray Beach, FL.
