Raised in Vermont and Pittsburgh, Ms. Finkelman graduated from Grinnell in 1980 with a B.A. in economics. After several years as a Budget and Policy Analyst with the Massachusetts Medicaid program, she received a master’s degree in public and private management from the Yale University School of Management in 1987. A former health care policy and reimbursement consultant, Ms. Finkelman is currently an active community volunteer in Columbus, Ohio. She has worked with a number of local organizations, including the Columbus Junior Theatre, the March of Dimes, Action for Children, and St. Joseph Montessori School. She was a member of the Grinnell College Alumni Council from 1991-98, serving as President in 1997-98.
