Mr. Linden, President and CEO of Grinnell Regional Medical Center, has been a supporter of the College’s Town and Gown Drive in the Grinnell community. He received a bachelor’s degree in 1985 and a master of arts in hospital and health administration in 1987, both from the University of Iowa. Mr. Linden, who was elected Chair of the Association of Iowa Hospitals and Health Systems in 1998, administers a nonprofit hospital that serves 30,000 people in a five-county area. He is particularly interested in rural health issues. In 2001 he was appointed to the American Hospital Association Board of Directors. Mr. Linden has been recognized for his leadership by the Des Moines Register, the Iowa Hospital Association, the Iowa Jaycees, and Modern Healthcare Magazine, among others. He has testified in the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate, and on a special teleconference with the President of the United States on health care issues.
