Former Democratic National Chairman Charles T. Manatt joins the Grinnell board with a distinguished career in law, business, and politics. Manatt was co-chair of the successful Clinton-Gore presidential campaign in 1992 and later served that administration as ambassador to the Dominican Republic from 1999–2001. He founded the Washington, D.C. law firm Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, and later started the firm's international consulting subsidiary Manatt Jones Global Strategies. He earned a B.S. from Iowa State University and a J.D. from George Washington University Law School.
